There used to be a photo I used to see as a child of Mahalia Jackson looking up towards the heaven. I took a picture of my mom like that. It turned out pritty good. Some of the picture that I took didnt. I was so focued on the ones that turned out wrong. I didnt see that the last photo turned out right. I took 15 of them. 10 of them was ok 4 of them was what I was looking for so 15/4. I show you what I mean by 4 turned out right.

Film

Ok, its almost time to make my film and im scared to death that it will just look like crap. Although, Im learning the techical side I am still more comfortable with a still camera. Speaking of which I brought my first camera 1 year ago this month ( feb). I picked up my camera and took my very first picture of my daughter. To the right. Below I will add the most recent picture that I took.

Now this is a picture I took of my mom. I must say if nothing eles. I have improved on making my lighting dramatic. Plus, it was the look I was going for. Some make up , wig and dramatic lighting and it looks like a real black & white not just a picture I turned to black & white. But, having said all that film is another media at least for me. I can see the shots in my head not sure how they will come across the screne. And all these terms. I call everthing a wacha macallit or thing, it, the wacha jig or somthing like that. Im sure that's would make it hard when trying to accomplish any task. I know God knows best and I love photography but I dont like the regular day to day great shots. And I take horrible pictures if I cant see the shot before I take it. I'm over thinking it im sure. Maybe the point is just be destracted from timothy's death. Photography has really manage to keep me from loosing it.

I've been Busy

Ok, I have been really Busy. The New spring class lineup is pritty good. As usual I took or more than I am suppose to. My New Years regulations is to get back to being myself. Here is my goals.

1. To care more- this might seem easy, however when you loose your child it is possible to become the living dead and to start caring about nothing.

2. To get rid of this last 15 pounds. I still have this weight to loose from being pregnant with Timothy. ( my son that passed away). Normally, I would have lost it by now however, I really didnt care much about how I looked. This is when being invisable is good.

3. Get active and become more social. I used to go everwhere and do everything for a while it was a task just to get out of the bed.

4. Work on renovations of the house.

there you have it the short edited list of my New Year resolutions. Pray for me yall it's hard to raaise the dead. Oh, here is the best picture I took in class.

Fall Classes

My Fall schedule is hectic. But, I look forward to the new classes. I changed my major to film and my minor to animation. Im taking maya,lighting,digital art, and CTV equiptment. My last class will not be over till late, so I will be spending the night in chesapeake and driving in the morning unless I have alot of energy. The 2 hour drive I think is safe in the morning. I dont want to fall to sleep on the road. I met my teachers yesterday. Some of my teachers are more passionate. That to me ensures that I will learn alot. So, as an undergraduate student at regent my first year has went ok. Jan. marks my 2nd year at regent let's see how I feel about that. Oh, the unit wants to deploy my husband but they are not suppose to be able to deploy him until Febuary. So, We will see how things turn out. I am going to pitch a fit it they deploy him. I mean a really big fit. oh, I found a nice park/estate in Richmond. called Maymont.

Another Shoot

Here is another Photo I took this week that I really like. I seem to like the dramatic. What can I say. Also of times the photo shoot only last 20 minutes or more. However the editing photos are the best. Because you really know what you have until open it and start editing it. Again, I havent been editing photos that long. So, I am still Learning my way around the softwear and stuff. I relly do believe that animation will offer me a platform to create my thought. To me one of the most blessed people is Walt Disney. He was able to create and bring his thoughts to light. What an awsome gift that must be. Sooner or later I will be taking drawing classes. I dont know if I can draw however it should be fun to find out.

My Daugher Graduated

This is my oldest daughter who graduated from Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake , Virignia. My mom was a little upset. Why? Because she does not have any babies. I told here I will be happy to drop my 3 year old. However, she said its not the same. She missed her children young.

The graduation was at Old Dominion and I have to go and find my baby in a crowd of 500 kids and their parent. All the parents was complaining about that. But, all in all, it was good.
